Every once in a while, I listen to as much Rush Limbaugh as I can stomach - typically less than five minutes worth. Good to know the folks at Media Matters have a stronger stomach for Limbaugh's lies, bullshit and bile.

If you ever needed evidence that this asshole (and all the other so-called-right-wing-pundits) just makes this shit up as he goes along, consider this Media Matters Report:

Nationally syndicated radio host Rush Limbaugh falsely claimed that "no major media outlet or even cable news shows" have mentioned in their "Deep Throat" coverage that W. Mark Felt had been convicted, and later pardoned by President Ronald Reagan, for authorizing illegal break-ins unrelated to Watergate. In fact, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, ABC, PBS, The Washington Post, The New York Times, and the Los Angeles Times all noted Felt's conviction and pardon following Vanity Fair's May 31 announcement that its July issue would identify Felt as the famous unnamed source whom Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein relied on in their reporting on the Watergate scandal.

Limbaugh isn't even bothering to try to appear accurate or imparial anymore. Hey, if people who listen to him can't be fucking bothered to check up on his facts, why not just make up outrageous lies like this one (and countless, countless others). It's scary to think about the sheer number of sheep...err...registed voters in rural parts of America that overwhelming voted for Bush who get their "news" purely from Limbaugh (or Savage or FOX or their ilk). Of course, all you have to do is turn on the "news" and see that smirking chimp's face in the Oval Office to be reminded of what the uninformed people in this country have wrought.
